Feb. 14   The Mach One Jazz Orchestra played, and 'Nosey' Joe Ross taught a lesson with Jen Paur.

Jan. 10    Tonya Surface and Sean taught a basic lindy lesson, then tag-teamed as the DJ.

2002

Dec. 13    Hep Jen DJ'd to a large holiday crowd and taught a lesson with 'Nosey' Joe Ross.

Nov. 8    The Swing Session came up from San Francisco for a great show!.  Christine Corey (formerly from Olympia) and 'Nosey' Joe Ross taught a lesson.  Tony Husted and Vanessa Lund performed in a jam circle, at the end of which Tony dropped down on one knee and reached in his pocket.  The crowd (many of whom were in on the secret) applauded and stomped the floor as Tony proposed and Vanessa accepted!

Oct. 11    The David Cooley Band came up from Vancouver, WA.  Cat Daddy Chris Chapman and Maren Perry taught a lesson

Sep. 20  Eight-piece local band John Holte and the Radio Rhythm Orchestra played for folks attending the Jitterbug WeekendJohn and Melissa taught a basic balboa lesson.

Aug. 16  Lily Wilde and Her Jumpin' Jubilee Orchestra, an outstanding 15-piece band from Portland, wowed the 400+ crowd.  In partnership with the Seattle Lindy ExchangeTony Husted and Vanessa Lund got the evening started with a basic shag lesson.

July 12  Jump Up!, a great Seattle band, played lively jump blues.  Christine Corey from Olympia and 'Nosey' Joe Ross taught a lesson.

June 14  Ron Bolin, the Dancin' DJ taught a basic swing lesson and DJ'd. 

May 10    Lance Buller and the Monarchs played lively swing with songstress Stephanie Porter.  Beforehand, Jodi Fleischman taught a lesson with last-minute substitute Dan Crawford.

Apr. 12    'Nosey' Joe Ross taught a lesson and DJ'd to a good-sized crowd.

Mar. 8    Live band Two Scoops Combo played swing, rock and blues, while Viola Spencer and Ben Ignacio taught a basic blues lesson.

Feb. 8    Hep Jen DJ'd and taught a lesson with Mark Kihara.

Jan. 11    'Nosey' Joe Ross taught a lesson and live band Casey MacGill and the Spirits in Rhythm pulled in 400 people (just enough room to dance)! 

2001

Oct. 12    Hep Jen DJ'd and taught a lesson with Earl Ryan.

Sep. 14   Radio Rhythm Orchestra played in place of Casey MacGill, who was stranded by the airlines.  Byron and Stacey taught a basic shag lesson.

Aug. 3    Lily Wilde and Her Jumpin' Jubilee Orchestra played hip, hard-swinging big band music and drew 400 people.  It was a smash!  Jodi Fleischman and Matt Holzknecht taught a lesson.

July 13    Ron Bolin, the Dancin' DJ taught a basic swing lesson and DJ'd. 

June 8    Cat Daddy Chris Chapman and Maren Perry taught a lesson and Chris DJ'd.

May 25    'Nosey' Joe Ross and Jodi Fleischman taught a lesson and live band Casey MacGill and the Spirits in Rhythm wowed the 400+ crowd with Casey's triumphant return to Seattle from the Broadway musical 'Swing'! 

Apr. 13    Tonya Surface taught a shag lesson and DJ'd.

Feb. 9   Radio Rhythm Orchestra played, Cat Daddy Chris Chapman and Carla Englander taught a lesson in 6-count variations with kicks..

Jan. 12    Hep Jen DJ'd and taught a lesson in triple-time variations with Guy Caridi.

2000

Dec. 8    Tony Husted and Lorraine O'Neal taught a sugar push variations lesson and Tony DJ'd. 

Nov 10    Ron Bolin, the Dancin' DJ taught a basic swing lesson and DJ'd. 

Oct 13    Jodi Fleischman and P.J. Madden taught a basic lesson followed by tandem Charleston, then Nosey Joe Ross DJ'd. 

Sep 8      Hep Jen and Joe Ross taught a basic lesson followed by Charleston variations, then Jen DJ'd. 

Aug 11    Local band Swing Jam played great danceable swing tunes.  Tonya Surface and Bryan Sera taught a lesson in "Tricks, Slides and Drops".  Dance demo by Emerald City Swing.

Jul. 14    Ron Bolin, the Dancin' DJ taught a basic swing lesson and Charleston variations, then DJ'd.

Jun. 9      Jump Up! played great jump blues.  Viola Spencer and Phillip Nicklas taught a basic blues lesson.

May 12   Dave Atkinson and Hep Jen taught a jig step lesson.  Hep Jen DJ'd.

Apr. 14    Lily Wilde and Her Jumpin' Jubilee Orchestra played hip, hard-swinging big band music and brought the 300+ crowd to its feet.  It was the dance of the year!  Tonya Surface and Adam Noble taught a lesson in basic balboa.

Mar. 10    Ron Bolin, the Dancin' DJ taught a basic swing lesson including the "sailor kick" and DJ'd.

Feb. 11    The Spirits in Rhythm .  This band from Spokane retooled since bandleader Casey MacGill left for Broadway. They featured the vocals of the Fabulous Miss Lee Lee.  Tony Husted and Lessa Perret presented a lesson in basic shag.

Jan. 18   Special Benefit dance for the Multiple Sclerosis Association of King County. (msa@ccom.net ) Live band Two Scoops Combo played lively swing music with DJ Leslie$ serving as MC for the evening.  Thanks to all who attended -- we raised over $1000 to help make a difference in the lives of those locally who have multiple sclerosis!

Jan. 14    DJ Hep Jen and Cat Daddy Chris taught an introductory Lindy Hop lesson, then Jen DJ'd.   

1999

Dec. 10  Local band Jump Up! kept the dance floor hopping with great jump blues. Loviça Callisti and Adam Noble taught a further lesson in Charleston.

Nov. 12  Jodi Fleischman and Ben Ignacio taught a basic Charleston lesson, followed by DJ music.

Oct. 8   Live band Two Scoops Combo played lively swing and blues, while Theo and Tonya taught a lesson in Hollywood style swing.
