Burke-Gilman Trail

Long paved trail that winds from the north end of Lake Washington to Ballard. Some new segments go from near the Locks to Golden Gardens Park. Great scenery with views of the Ship Canal, Lake Union, Lake Washington and downtown Seattle. Beware the stop signs in Lake Forest Park - some bikers have been ticketed for running them. Somewhat rough trail surface in places in Lake Forest Park - tree roots are causing bumps. Trail connects seemlessly with the Sammamish River Trail near Blyth Park in Bothell. This trail is very popular, especially near UW.
The trail goes under the Ship Canal Bridge next to Lake Union
