Chief Sealth Trail
Trail in south Seattle that follows power lines across Beacon Hill, winding through neighborhoods and vegetable gardens. Scenery is interesting, offering at times views of downtown Seattle and Lake Washington. Surface conditions are very good but routefinding is a bit tricky at times. Though the signage is usually there it is sometimes counterintuitive - ie when the trail sign points onto a neighborhood street which is part of the trail. The Chief Sealth Trail runs from Beacon Ave S. and Dawson St southward to 51st Ave S near Renton Ave S. It was built by Sound Transit as part of the Light Rail plan and officially opened on May 12, 2007.
